Little knitted gifts for my boyfriend

Perhaps some of you keen knitters out there want to be able to knit something for your man but socks, scarves and jumpers are just too boring!

Well I decided to knit my boyfriend a little mini guitar and a knitted cricket ball! Yes they are not as useful as a jumper would be but oh well!

I made these in the summer and sent them to my boyfriend in a cute little box.

Alan Dart has a pattern for the owl and the pussy catΒ Β and I just made the guitar.

My mum has a book with a pattern for Christmas baubles and I just made a completely red one and then embroidered on the marks.

Other crochet blanket

Over the past three months I have been working on two blankets at the same time. This is the smaller of the two, please look at my previous blog post for photos of my larger blanketΒ . I do not intend on making this one quite as big as the other blanket – it is the perfect size to keep my legs warm when I am working at a desk or on the sofa.

The photo above is from about a month ago. I have since enlarged it a little bit, scroll down to see.

The photo below is what it looks like at the moment, it a good size so I might just finish it with a border after christmas.

Granny squares in my dreams

For the past three months, I have been doing nothing but making granny squares, not that I am complaining! I love making granny squares, it has become so automatic to me now that I can sit watching documentaries for hours crocheting away.

I started wanting to make a blanket the size of my single bed but now I am so addicted that I want to make it the size of a double bed! So far I have made 42Β squares πŸ™‚Β (6 X 7 ) Β and I have calculated that I will need about another 18 yay

Please scroll down to look at my beautiful blanket πŸ™‚
